Interfaith Hospitality
IHN, as it is better known, is a non-profit ministry run by local churches in the area. It provides food and housing to families in need until they are able to become self-sufficient. IHN also works to find jobs and permanent housing for these individuals.
Each week they are taken to one of the twelve churches who act as Host Churches. There they are provided with housing and food for one week. In the past, OSLC has been a support church. We provided food, evening hosts and overnight hosts for two to three nights in the week. We also provided a driver for transportation. He or she transported these individuals to and from the Day Care Center to jobs, schools and the various functions.
Currently, OSLC is not acting as a support church. We are investigating new avenues of backing this ministry. Currently, we donate products such as paper towels, bathroom tissue, shampoo, and diapers.
