The Crumley House
The Crumley House specializes in the rehabilitation of brain injury survivors. The mission of the Crumley House is "to enhance the quality of life for brain injury survivors by enabling them to maximize their potential" by assisting them in developing independence, a positive self-image, and vocational skills through participation in social, intellectual and (pre) vocational activities that involve clients, staff, and families.
The Crumley House opened its doors in June of 1992. They have provided services to thousands of survivors and have had over 100 placements in competitive employment through our vocational program, with no one being placed in sheltered workshops.
The Crumley House was designed as a day treatment rehabilitation program which includes vocational training, community re-entry, social and recreation activities for brain injury survivors. They now have 14 small apartments in addition to their day center. Services provided include: vocational and prevocational training, independent living skills, behavior modification, cognitive retraining, respite care, academic transition, school liaison (student, parent & teachers), school and recreational activities, home and work structural modifications, work adjustment training, and community reentry.
