We are a liturgical people; liturgy incorporates words, songs, and gestures that have been used by Christians across the ages to identify themselves and each other.  We invite you to join with us in this joyful celebration of God's love as we worship together today!

Services

Sunday, March 14

OSLC will offer three Holy Communion services for the fourth Sunday in Lent, 8:15, 10:45, and  11 a.m. with the 11 a.m. service being the Heartsong service in the multipurpose hall.

The theme for the day is "Lost and Found?" based on Luke 15:32.

Sunday School is set for 9:30 a.m. and a nursery is provided.

Wednesdays of Lent have a 6 p.m. light meal in the fellowship hall, followed by evening services at 6:45 p.m.   The theme this week is "Implements of the Cross, Implements of Hope." This week we are thinking about the Crown of Thorns.   All are welcome.

Standing and Kneeling

Appropriate times to stand and kneel are denoted in the bulletin.  These instructions are also printed at the bottom of the first page of the bulletin.

Bible Readings

The lessons and Gospel are from the New Revised Standard Version of the Holy Bible.  Extra copies of the NRSV are at the end of the pews or, you may want to follow along with your own favorite Bible.  The Psalm is usually spoken responsively and is found on the insert along with the lessons and Gospel.

The Holy Sacrament

The Holy Sacrament is the true Body and Blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in, with, through, and under the bread and wine, given and shed for us sinners to eat and drink for the forgiveness of sins.

All those who believe Christ died for our sins, and all those who are baptized, are welcomed at the Lord's Table in this congregation.

A record will be sent to the visitor's congregation if such is indicated in the Friendship Register.

Children are invited to come to the altar with their parents for a blessing from the pastor.

Parking

In addition to the parking spaces in front of the church, parking is available behind the church, and in the parking lots of the banks on either side of the church.
